Hello friends! I am over on The Cut Shoppe blog today to share a simple layout made with my favorite border cut file, Borderlines Too.
This cut file is so versatile! I can’t even count how many times I have used this one cut file on my layouts and cards. I especially adore the sketchy hearts! Which is why I chose to use this cut file today.
Many of you already know that I am a mom of four crazy boys so I don’t get to play with the girly scrapbooking goodies very often. I took this photo of my little niece a few months back and it was just begging for a layout. I love this simple, beautiful photo of her so I wanted to keep the layout simple and sweet too.
Here is a look at the final layout…

Hi friends! Today I am over on The Clique Kit blog sharing a layout I created using the new January kit Algeria featuring Fancy Pants collection Happy Place. You can visit the blog here or you can head over to the shop here and pick up a beautiful kit!
For this layout I wanted to keep the design pretty simple. I think that sometimes it is just as difficult to edit embellishments and papers out of a layout as it is to add them in. I love this photo of my little guy and I wanted the photo to really be the focal point and central focus of the layout. I felt that if I added too many embellishments it would take away from, and distract from the photo.
***Side note: For Christmas I received the photo editing program Rad Lab. I used Rad Lab to edit this photo in Photoshop and seriously…this program is AMAZING!!! You can check out their website here. I will share how to use this program in an upcoming Geek Lab. You will love it!***
Back to the layout… For the background I used white card stock and added a simple white line of stitching on the diagonal eye line of the paper to keep the eye moving on the diagonal. I placed my simple photo stack close to the center of the page and added some simple embellishments from the kit to frame the photo. To finish off the layout I added some enamel hearts and some ink splatters again along the diagonal to stay in the theme of the layout.

Hi friends! Today I am over on The Cut Shoppe Blog sharing a fun layout using the One Fine Day cut file!
I was feeling a little dip in my “creative mojo” so I went to one of my “go to” layouts, a circle! The best part of using cut files is that they can help dictate a bulk of the design of your layout.
I used the “EVERYDAY” circle from this cut file and cut it out of white card stock. I then layered pieces of colored vellum behind the cut file to help it to stand out against the background. To adhere all these pieces to the background I added some messy white stitching around the page. After that the layout came together fast just by adding some embellishments and I finished it all off with a little black splatter and star stamping.

And a few close ups…
I love how the final layout turned out! Oh, and how I love the two handsome boys in the pic! To get your hands on this cut file you can visit the shop here. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a beautiful day!!!

Hi friends! Welcome back to my blog! Today I am sharing my fourth layout using the Clique Kits October kit called “Funfetti”. There are so many fun things to play with in this kit that I have been able to make so many layouts!
For today’s layout I started with a cut file that I found online here. I used the papers from the kit to back the cut file and that became the background for my layout. The rest of the layout came together so fast, just adding some embellishments and some watercolor to complete the design. Here are some photos of the layout and if you would like to see how it all came together you can watch my process video below.

Happy Wednesday! Today I am so excited to share with you my first layout for The Cut Shoppe! I am so thrilled to be a part of this team of super talented ladies and work with the amazing cutfiles! For my layout I chose to use the Chevron Burst cut file that comes in the new Let’s Cut Class!
I used the fabulous So Rad collection from Simple Stories to compliment the fun cut file. In my silhouette software I cut the burst in half and lined it up along the left side of my paper. So fun!
Here are a few close ups of the final layout! To see the whole layout head over to The Cut Shoppe Blog. You can also see the whole process video, just click on the link below!

Hello again friends!
I am having so much fun playing with the October kit from Clique Kits “Funfetti”! Today I am sharing my second layout made with this fun kit. This layout came together so fast with the paper from Pinkfresh Studio already decorated so beautifully! All I had to do was add a few embellishments and exclusives from the kit to make the layout my own. Here are a few close ups of the final layout.

Hello friends! Thanks for stopping by again! Today I am sharing my 3rd layout made with the September Kit “Capture” from Clique Kits. I am getting so much use out of this kit and all the papers are so inspiring!
This layout is about the relationship my littlest guy has with his Daddy. He always wants to be right by his Dad. Whether they are just sitting and snuggling together or going on grand adventures together, this little 2 year old want to be right by his Daddy. It is just so sweet how much he loves his Daddy!
I found a song online called “With You Daddy” by Sawyer Brown. The chorus in the song had the perfect words, ” With you daddy, take me with you daddy Everywhere you’re going to, I just wanna be with you Right with you daddy, don’t leave me daddy Don’t you know that’s right where I belong.”
I took the lyrics from the song and cut them out on my Silhouette Cameo to use as the main focal point of the layout. I backed the cut file I created with the beautiful woodgrain paper from the kit. I then backed the photo with various papers from the kit and pieces of the exclusive cut files from September.
Using watercolor paints I added ink splatters to the top and bottom of the layout to create a diagonal flow. Before I adhered the photo stack I added some thread to add some additional interest. To finish off the layout I created a small embellishment cluster by the photo. I just adore this photo and I love how the lyrics to the song perfectly capture my journaling.
Take a look!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by! Come by tomorrow to see my next layout I created with the kit…think tags!
Today I am sharing a layout inspired by the fabulous Ashley Horton. I saw a video on YouTube of Ashley doing a string art layout and couldn’t wait to give it a try! Then when I saw the constellation paper I knew exactly what I wanted to do. To start the layout I cut the LOVE letters out with my silhouette then traced along them with my paper piercer to create the holes. I then stitched along all the edges of the letters. After the outlines were done I weaved the string art thru the center of the letters. I wanted to focus to stay on the string art so I left the rest of the layout simple. Although this layout took longer than I expected to create I have to say I am in LOVE with the final result! Take a look!
