Today I wanted to share a layout that I created with a sketch from Back Porch Memories. Here is a quick look at the sketch that inspired my layout.
Now for the layout!
To start I cut a scribbled circle out of white card stock on my silhouette. I layered papers from Maggie Holmes Open Book collection that coordinated with colors in my photo. I embellished a glitter tag with some fabric and chip board pieces. To finish off the layout I added lots of detail stitching around the page and added my journaling at the bottom with my typewriter. I loved creating this layout with a mix a light and bold colors. I have to say that I am always a sucker for a great sketch! Now for some detailed pictures. Enjoy!

Hi all! It is time for a new card sketch over at Sketch-N-Scrap.
Here is the sketch designed by Kelly.
Here is the card that I created using the sketch. I used papers and embellishments from Maggies Holmes Open Book collection. I am really loving the femine feel of her collections right now. I also love that the Open Book collection has rich, dark browns. For the sentiment and gold accents around the card I used rub ons.
To see what the other design team girls created just head over the the Sketch-N-Scrap site!

Hi all! Thanks so much for stopping by! I am happy to have you here. I noticed lately that I have been using a lot of white in my layouts. I love the look of white textured card stock on a layout. It just looks clean and simple. Although I love this look, I needed to push my self out of this routine. I looked through my papers to find some rich, deep colors to compliment a picture of my boys at church. After finding some complimenting paper and embellishments this layout came together quickly. Take a look!

Have you found your moment of everyday perfection today?
This is a recent everyday moment. I snapped a quick picture of my little guy after a walk. I wanted to create a layout that had lots of layers.
I also wanted to add lots of little details that would add interest to the page. Here I stamped feathers on to white cardstock then added stitching to add dimension.
I love using overlays but sometimes I like the photo just as I took it. In these cases I will layer the overlay behind the photo so it will add color to the paper layers but leave the photo ‘as is’.
I added stitching to the top left and bottom right to connect the top and bottom of the page. Below you will find links to some of the items that I used on the layout.
