Hello! After a much needed vacation last week I am back! The beach was beautiful, but I can’t lie my craft room was calling to me. I had so much fun last week making some new journal cards that I decided to make more. This week I wanted to do some watercoloring and play with some embossing paste. I never thought of my self as much of an artist, but now there are so many great products that can make me feel just that!
Here is a look at the finished cards.
I started out with Tim Holtz watercolor paper and I used the lawn fawn die to cut it down to 3×4. I wanted the first card to have an ombre look. I used various shades of pool and turquoise across the card then stamped the sentiment with Simon Says Stamp black ink.
On the coordinating card I wanted to use the watercolors to create a moon. Again, using the Tim Holtz water color paper I placed a half moon stencil over the card and used the same watercolors to fill in the moon. After the moon was dry I wanted to add a dimensional cloud. Using the same stencil I placed some white embossing paste over the cloud, then to add a little sparkle I sprinkled a little iridescent embossing powder over the paste. I left this card to the side to dry and came back to this!
I fell in love!

Have a great day.
Happy Monday! Today I am sharing with you some DIY journal cards. When it comes to pocket page scrapbooking I like to keep it pretty simple and use pre made cards. When I can’t find the right one or I am feeling extra crafty I like to make my own.
For these journal cards I started out with some chipboard WPlus 9. I used the Lawn Fawn stitched journaling card die in the 4×6 and 3×4. I wanted a subtle background so I chose to use Hero Arts Soft Sand ink to stamp my images on the cards. The woodgrain stamp is from Lawn fawn and the small anchor stamp is from October Afternoon. Oh, how I love anchors! The large blue anchor is from Kelly Purkey for Simon Says Stamp. To tie all the cards together I put a splash of red on each card. Super simple DIY!
