Citrus Twist Kits Pocket Life Spread

Hello friends today I am here to share a fun pocket life spread using the March CTK “Lemon Drop” kit.  This month the kit is packed with so many fun goodies!  With so many fun embellishments to chose from it helps spreads to come together in a snap because everything looks great!

As usual I started my spread with laying out my photos.  Next, I found cards and patterned paper that complimented my photos and overall theme for the week.

My favorite part of creating a spread is adding in all the fun embellishments.  The Here + There collection was perfect to fit my theme for the week.

All the colors in the kit match and coordinate seamlessly and help to create a nice balanced spread.

I was SO excited to see my favorite alpha stickers in the kit this month, in black! YES!  I added the days of the week to various photos around the spread.

I knew that I had to use as many stamps as I could from the Camera stamp set this month.  I adore this stamp set!

I loved the marketing card so much that I had to figure out a way to incorporate it into the spread this week.

This was such a fun spread to put together!  I always look forward to creating with the CTK kits.  I love the perfectly coordinated kits, lots of embellishments and awesome stamps!  What will you create with the Lemon Drop kits this month?!

Elle’s Studio-Pocket Page Scrapbooking

Hello friends!  Candace here again to share a fun pocket page spread using the March kit.    I am so in love with all the colors in this month’s kit.  You can’t help but smile when you see the cards, embellishments and colors.  It was so fun to work with the rainbow of colors and it made all the colors in my photos pop.

Here is a look at the final spread.

I like the balance of black and white photos along with colorful photos and cards bring the whole spread to life.

I love the new All the Details stamp set!  It is perfect for my weekly title cards.  I mixed the stamped sentiment with a label marking the dates of the week.  With a few chipboard embellishments my title card was perfect!

Ellesstudio-CandacePerkins-March-4

My favorite card on the whole spread is the adorable rainbow card.  The gold heart was a perfect neutral contrast to all the colors in the rainbow.

Ellesstudio-CandacePerkins-March-5

I love this weekly card.  I like being able to give a quick snapshot of our activities for the week.  This card is great when you have lots of photos but not a lot of space to add journaling.

Ellesstudio-CandacePerkins-March-6

To add consistency across the spread I added another gold heart on the right side of the spread.  The chipboard this month is so versatile!

Ellesstudio-CandacePerkins-March-7

Using the Happy Moments stamp set I stamped and cut out the “This is a story about” sentiment in pigment ink.  Next, I used dimensional adhesive to pop up the sentiment and bring attention to the card.

Ellesstudio-CandacePerkins-March-8

I loved this 4×6 card but wanted to add just a bit more detail.  I used the awesome chipboard again to add the “XO” and another gold heart.

The whole spread came together in a snap with the bright, bold colors and fun embellishments.  I would love to see how you use this month’s kit in your pocket page spreads!

CTK-Between You & Me

Hello friends!  Candace with you today to share how I used the Between You & Me stamp on a fun travelers notebook spread. I love that I can mix and match the pocket life kit with the other goodies in the shop, and I LOVE getting inky with the shop stamps!

I love the little journaling spot on this month’s stamp set!  The labels in the ephemera pack were the perfect fit inside the journal spots. Using a few sentiments from the stamp set I added, “you should know…, & I love you.”

I adhered the labels to the spots using dimensional adhesive to add a little more interest.  I always like to match colors on my spreads.  I added coordinating hearts from the puffy sticker sheet in the pocket life kit. I love that this adds just a touch of interest but does not overwhelm the spread.

Using my absolute favorite puffy alpha I added my title.  The color from the puffy alpha brings together the left and right sides of the spread.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope this inspired you and gave you a few ideas on how you can use the Between You & Me stamp set to tell your stories!  Have a beautiful day!

Citrus Twist Kits-Week 36

Hello friends!  So happy to be with you today sharing week 36 in my pocket page album for 2017.  This month’s kit was perfect match for the colors and theme of week 36 and I was excited to get this week’s stories and memories on paper.

Here is a look at the full spread using the January Pocket Life kit!

Left side of the spread:

Right side:

Lots of details:

I loved adding the fun puffy stickers to the weekly title card.

To create a pattern across the spread, on all the 4×6 photos, I added a word phrase strip along with a cute puffy heart.  Now the whole spread flows together and has a theme.

The morning & evening routine cards were my favorite cards this month!  I love cards that prompt you to tell a specific story.  What is especially fun is to repeat the same theme over and over so you can see how your routine changes year to year.

I adore the final spread!  So many precious photos and memories captured this week!  I know when I look back on this years from now my heart will swell with love for this time in my life.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope this gave you a few ideas on how to use this month’s kit to capture and document your special moments.

Citrus Twist Kits-Week 42

Hello friends!  Today I am here to share my week 42 pocket life spread using the beautiful January pocket life kit.  So what do you do when you just have a few photos for your week?  Just use them!  I normally do a full 12×12 double page layout for every week. However, there are always a few weeks during the year that for one reason or another I don’t have enough photos for a double page spread.  I don’t let this worry or bother me and I just document what I have!  It is always better to capture some memories than none.

Here is a look at my half page spread for week 42!

I loved using the label sticker from the ephemera pack to stamp the weeks date and the cork heart is the perfect fit between the week numbers!

The journal card with all the ampersands was the perfect place to make a list of some of my favorite things to do as a family.

My favorite card in the spread is the cute pink card with the multi colored dots.  LOVE IT!  I used this card for a fun focal point along the center of the spread. Using puffy stickers from a past kit I wrote out “Taco Tuesday” then added a die cut on dimensional adhesive across the center.  So cute!

I loved the look of the Taco Tuesday card so much that I decided to create another card using puffy letter stickers as a main focus.  On the lower 4×6 card I wrote out “Together” since this spread was all about going out and doing fun things together.

I love the fun colors in the spread.  My photos were pretty dark this week so pairing them with colorful, bright cards helps balance the spread.

I am glad that I documented this fun memory.  Even though this is a short week and only half of a normal spread the memory and moments are important and captured.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Make sure you stop by the shop and pick up this month’s kit before it sells out!

Have a beautiful day!

Citrus Twist Kits-Week 27

Hello friends!  I hope your holiday was fantastic and the new year brings lots of lovely memories to document.  For todays spread I worked on week 27 in my 2017 album. The colors in this month’s kit were a perfect match for my photos and theme for my week.  Here is a look at the final spread!

When creating this spread I stuck to just a few colors, red, orange, grey and blue.

I made sure that I balanced the colors on the right and left sides of the spread.

To add a little more interest I created two see-through pockets.  I love the clean look of these pockets on the spread.

I am so in love with the little moments and memories captured this week.  I think it is important to capture not only the good, but also the difficult and “bad” days.  This is our life, and it is filled with good and bad.

Such a fun spread to put together!  I hope this gave you a few ideas and inspired you to tell your stories.  Let me know if you have any questions and make sure you stop by the shop to pick up goodies to create your fun spreads!

Have a beautiful day!

Freckled Fawn-Simple Cardmaking

Hello again!  Thanks for taking a little time to stop by today.  At the end of every year I find that I start to run low on pre-made cards for various occasions.  I always like to have a good stash of cards to dig into at anytime on short notice.  The last few kits from Freckled Fawn had tons of fun goodies to create homemade cards.  Here is a look at a few of the cards I had fun creating!

FF-November-1.jpg

And a few close ups…

FF-November-2.jpg

I can’t even get enough of this cute house warming card filled with color and lots of heart!

FF-November-3.jpg

It is always great to have lots of birthday cards on hand.  I love the look of mixing fonts on a project.  This adds lots of contrast & interest.  I adore the fun colors & patterned paper in this kit!

FF-November-4.jpg

My favorite card, a cute thank you card, was created using patterned paper from the October kit’s paper.  I used a die from my stash to cut and layer the sentiment five times to add dimension to the front of the card.  Oh, those colors!

FF-November-5.jpg

Lastly, I created a fun tag to add to a package or or bag.  After cutting the tag out of paper from the November kit I layered embellishments from the store and other past kits.  It is so fun that month to month you can still mix and match embellishments!  This helps all your goodies to last even longer!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspired you to put your paper and embellishments to work and create a few fun cards and tags to grab on the go!

Have a beautiful day!
