The Cut Shoppe-Hey Jack

Hello friends!  Today I am sharing a fun Halloween layout for The Cut Shoppe.  Did you know that The Cut Shoppe not only has fabulous cut files but now they have wood veneer and acrylic pieces?!  They are so fabulous!  Here is a look a the Happy Halloween wood veneer set that I used in my layout today.

I also used the Wicked Fun Halloween cut file in the shop.

I adore Halloween!  Not the scary, creepy part of Halloween, but the fun, whimsical dress up like a princess part of Halloween.  I don’t know if it is because it just happens to be my birthday too, but I love Halloween!  There is definitely a certain magic to the day and I love watching the excitement on my children’s faces as they dress up like their favorite super hero and receive loads of candy!  Magic.

For today’s layout I wanted to capture a little of that magic.  I scrapped a photo of one of my little guys the first year that he realized that if he went to the doors he actually got candy.  (Don’t you love it when they figure that out!  LOL!)  He started running from house to house full of excitement and wonder.  Magic.

Here is a look at the final layout using Crate Paper’s After Dark collection.

Such a fun layout to put together!  I tucked the cut files behind layers of paper to add more texture then stitched around the layout with various stitches.  I love that you can use cut files not only as the main focal point but also as layers and small embellishments to add a little more interest to your spreads!  The wood veneers were so adorable I wanted to use them all!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Make sure you stop by the shop to check out all the new Halloween goodies!

Have a spooky day!
