I adore this captured moment. I love the light here. I love the way that the light illuminates his face. I didn’t even know that my husband was taking a photo. As it turns out the best photos are usually taken when no one is looking. It was a beautiful fall day and I wanted that reflected in the layout.
I used lots of tags and distress ink from Tim Holtz. I used the ink to distress the tags, flower and the wood veneers. On the wood veneers I used a darker distress ink on the top and lighter on the bottom to create an ombre effect.
I concentrated the embellishment clusters on the top left and bottom right creating a visual diagonal line.
I used a cut out from Carta Bella Wildflower line on the bottom right. I LOVE this cut out! I distressed it a little around the edges but I wanted to add some interest and layers to the cut out. For the center of the camera I used a heavy duty glue dot and wrapped twine in a circle to create the lens. I placed some distressed leaves a behind the camera to connect the top and bottom of the page.
