Today I am sharing a fun layout I created with Pink Paislee Hey Kid. This collection is so fun and is perfect for capturing childhood.
I have a bunch of pictures of my little guy when he was very sick and had a feeding tube. I wanted to tell a story of happiness and hope. At the time it was hard, really hard. But I can’t tell you how often he was still able to smile. That smile is what got us through a lot of hard days.
I am so blessed.
Enjoy!
The background has a few die cuts in it so I layered coordinating papers from the collection to show through. On one circle die cut, in the lower right corner, I made a little pocket of wood veneers and buttons.
I made the frame from chipboard then covered it with red card stock and washi tape. I love using frames. I love using frames even more when they bring attention to an area but they do not frame a picture.
I embellished with die cuts from the ephemera pack and brads from my stash. Speaking of stashes I just love little mustaches! I finished it off with some stitching on various spots around the page.
Thanks for stopping by, and don’t forget to smile!
Candace
